What makes Eisen a great place to work?

We asked our employees to share their views and give some advice for finding work you enjoy. Here is what they had to say.

What makes your company a great place to work?

Eisen is a great place to work because everything you do with our company will have a purpose behind it and you will be able to see the results of your work immediately. We are located close to Michigan State University campus. We also give students the opportunity to get real professional experience in the field that they are majoring in from a well-known manufacturer.

Tell us a little about the management.

Our management is family friendly with an entrepreneurial background and global work experience with very large companies. So there is a lot of structure for operations; at the same time they have maintained a small teams startup atmosphere.

Describe the culture of your company.

The company culture is professional but understanding. What I mean by this is that we are very driven to succeed but also realize that sometimes things happen in life that can’t be controlled. We encourage everyone to accept everyone and focus on our work leaving political and social beliefs at home. We support each other and are very flexible which makes for a healthy work environment. Our motto is “Success through innovation, growth through empowerment.”

What majors do you hire?

We hire business administration, accounting, supplychain, product design engineering, software, and technical trades such as CAD and millwork.

What skills and/or experiences do you look for in candidates?

We’re looking for candidates that are independent, dedicated, and self-driven (able to work at pace when left to their own devices). Any previous experience with engineering or manufacturing is always helpful.

Do you have any open positions you would like to highlight?

We are always hiring 365 days a year even though the jobs may not be posted. Open positions that are advertised will show up on the careers home page.

What is one piece of career advice you would give students?

Something I would strongly advise for students to do is explore different jobs within your field. Actually doing what you think you want to do will open your eyes to if you want to continue this for the rest of your life or if it’s time to switch majors/career paths. Which initially feels like a setback but will end up making your life so much more enjoyable.

How can students connect with you?

We are always hiring even though jobs may not be officially posted. Interested students should submit resume along with the questionnaire from our careers page. A cover letter detailing area of their interest, accomplishments, any reference letters and pay requirements would be very helpful. All this can be submitted via email to careers@eisennet.com. They can also apply to advertised open jobs through our careers page.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

We are an engineering company with a global footprint. Our customer base is large corporations all over the world. All employees are expected to exhibit professionalism, ethics, ownership and punctuality. To get selected and have a successful career with Eisen, applicants must have strong attention to detail, very good time management skills, and be able to multi-task in small team environments.
