TERMILOCK™ – Terminal Screw
A terminal screw is a type of electrical connector where a wire is held by the tightening of a screw. Eisen is the gold standard for terminal screws used in electrical contactors, terminal blocks, relays, and timers. In today’s more sophisticated world of electrical distribution and controls, consistently reliable electrical contacts are essential to product performance and safety. Our design, manufacturing and assembly capabilities provide virtually any type or combination of stamped terminations pre-assembled to a wide range of screws. Multiple washer assemblies are available to meet special termination needs. These washers can be flat and smooth or dished and ribbed. Dished or arched washers increase torque absorption and clamp load. A complete capability to engineer and develop a wide variety of Saddle Clamp Sems is also available to assure positive wire retention.
Made to the Industry’s highest standards, UL 486a and 486b, we provide Terminal Screws made to withstand Underwriters Laboratories’ torque, secureness, and pullout tests under the provisions of both UL 486 and IEC 60999. Terminal Screws are available in all typical head styles and recesses, such as cheese heads, combination phillips/slotted, milled slots, etc. Self threading terminal screws are available for chip-free forming of threads in untapped contacts. All terminal screws are available in steel and stainless steel.
In some products our specialized machines and tools manufacture the terminal screws to very tight tolerance helping prevent jamming of screw threads by separating the clamping plate from the threads. These features also lift the clamping plate straight up when the screw is loosened, allowing for a smooth release of the wire.
