Plastic inserts, spacers, compression limiters, and molded bushings are used to prevent plastic holes from cracking under stress or during assembly. At Eisen, we manufacture all types of plastic inserts, spacers, compression limiters, and bushings for your insert molding needs. Most often, these are made from brass, steel, and aluminum. For mass production, we offer cold formed parts. Certain difficult to machine profiles are made using sintered metal powder molding process. Other options available for manufacturing inserts and compression limiters are stamping and extrusion.
Eisen offers hundreds of different styles for volume production. Should you need 10,000 or 2,000,000 pieces per month, Eisen is the go to source for your peace of mind deliveries at an economical globally competitive cost. Threaded studs for insert molding

Threaded inserts for plastic are made with steel, aluminum, and brass. Generally assembled by insert-molding, ultrasonic, and press fit. Available for glass filled thermoplastic and thermoset materials.
Threaded brass inserts

Brass inserts are made on CNC machines. Eisen manufactures an extensive range of threaded inserts. Discuss your requirement with Eisen sales representative.
Spacers

Spacers are generally used in thin metal applications. Though sometimes used in plastic, they have limited use here, and are often replaced by compression limiters which offer better performance.
Applications
Intake Manifold Inserts for Sensors Oil Pan Compression Limiters for Shrouds
Compression Limiters

Most compression limiters are insert molded, though some of the smaller sizes can be press fit or ultrasonic heat welded. Compression limiters are increasingly becoming the best practice to eliminate joint failure in grab handles, doors, seats, plastic covers, and many glass filled industrial plastics.
Bushings

The larger bushings are either machined or cold formed on parts formers. Ideal for use in structural mounts.
